Quality Validation System

Palm Codes and Validation


Process
2 Step Validation Process
STEP 1: Codes will be generated for each panel number. Codes
would represent information content of 2 rounds for a panel.
FIO to tally the codes and decide if the survey is OK or Not Ok

STEP 2: Machine would run a check on the information captured.


Discrepancy in the content would be marked and made
available in the CRM/Revisit screen.
Step 1: Palm Validation

FIO shall click on the validate


button to access records
which have been completed
by the FTM
Login Screen

FIO shall provide his login


name and password to enter
the validation screen.
Login name shall be the CMIE
login name of the FIO
Password shall be e-mailed to
each FIO individually
Login name and passwords
shall not be shared
Search Screen
FIO shall be directed to a
screen containing the following
buttons.
PENDING: This is a list of
household where the FIO has
not marked OK/Not OK
NOT APPROVED:This is a list
of household where the FIO has
marked Not OK

ALL TYPES: This is a list of all


completed household where the
FIO has Not Marked/marked
OK/marked "Not OK"
Code and Marking Screen
Depending on the search criteria the
list of house-holds will
be shown.
Data shown is the town/panel
and address in text area.
Old-Code: This is generated from
the Earlier Survey
New-Code: This is generated
using data from the Currently
conducted survey (i.e from the
Palm data)
Click 'Ok' or 'Not Ok'
Then either 'Next' or 'Save' (just
like other palm forms)
Home button: will take back to
the 'Start Survey Screen'
Types button: will take back to
the 'Picture 3'

The codes generated would be a 3 strings of alphabets separated by a
hyphen

Second String Third Alphabet Represents TIME taken to travel
10 KM for a Household. Codes are as:

To 45 minutes is designated

With a ‘D’

time 30-45 minutes D

Second String Fourth Alphabet
Second String fourth Alphabet represents Water Availability for a
Household. Codes are as:

String for the Member Details is divided into three parts separated
With a ‘/’ (Slash). Code for a member is derived from a combination of Age
& Gender.

Part 1: represents the Head of the Household

Part 2: represents the Members of the Family Younger to the Head


of the Household

Part 3: represents the member of the family elder to the Head of household.

Member Details
The code of the member detail is a combination of Gender
& Age. Codes are as:

Action Points
 HH Records shall not be exported until all completed records are
either marked
~ OK
or ~ NOT OK
The marking of the records is to be done only by the FIO.

 HH Records marked as NOT OK remain in the palm & can be


~~ Instantly re-done or revisited by the FTM in the field itself and the
FIO will again have the option to mark them OK or NOT OK

 HH Records marked as NOT OK even after instant revisits at the


field, can be uploaded. Such records will be reflected as
REVISIT in the system. These records can be revisited later
