Report Format

B. Paper Size and Format: The project report must be printed on A4 paper and
the following must be strictly followed:

 Font style: Times new Roman


 Heading 1: (14 POINT SIZE (UPPER CASE) AND BOLD)
 Heading 2: (13 Point Size (Capitalizing Each Word) And Bold)
 Heading 3: (12 point size (sentence case) and bold)
 Heading 4: (12 point size (sentence case) and italic)
 Font size: 12-point font size text (Body)
 Spacing: 1.5 space line text
 Page margins: 30 mm left, 20 mm right, 25 mm top and 25 mm bottom
 Alignment: Justified

2) Declaration – Declaration
form (as shown) shall be
collected from the project
supervisors and shall be
attached in the report. It
should be signed by the
student stating that the
work is original and there is
no plagiarism involved in
its contents.

certificate shall carry the
signatures of the Supervisor
and the HOS. A sample

5) Acknowledgement

 Acknowledges the persons/company who have contributed in carrying out your


project work. Example: Supervisors, Lecturers/Technicians, Consultants, etc.

 It should be brief and should not exceed one page and typed in 1.5 spacing.

ABSTRACT

• A short description of the objectives of the work, the


methods used, outcomes and summary of the findings

• Key words (Maximum 4) should be mentioned at the


bottom of the abstract

REFERENCES

How to cite the references?


 The structure of a citation is the author's surname and year of publication.
• Examples:
 Single author is cited as "Jones (2001)".
 Two authors are cited using "&" (Deane & Jones 1991).
 More than two authors are cited using "et al" (Smith et al 1992).
 A citation is placed wherever appropriate in or after the sentence.
 All citations are in the same font as the main text.

 Examples of references
 A numbered list of all the important references cited in the work should appear at the end of
the report, preferably in the style recommended by IEEE. Some examples of the exact style and
format are given below:
