• 6000 BC – Americans first cultivation of
Tobacco
• 1492 – Columbus discovers tobacco smoking
in Cuba
• In 150 yrs smoking spreads to all the
continents
• WW I and WW II- usage exploded
• Soldiers given free stock, leading to addiction
