Types of plants

Trees are very tall plants with woody stems.


They have branches very high up.
Ashoka trees
Banyan tree
Shrubs have a woody stem and the branches are close
to the ground. They have3 or 4 main branches. They are
as tall as an adult human.
Hibiscus shrub
Marigold shrub
Grass is the tiny plants that grow very close to the ground.
They have thin blade like leaves. Some have fused stems.

1. What are Creepers?
• Some plants who can not bear the weight of
the heavy fruits and vegetables which grow on
them.
• So, they creep horizontally and are called as
Creepers They spread over a long distance.
• They have weak stems, so if they try to stand
or climb they will fall down.

Climbers
2. What are Climbers?
• Some plants have weak and thin stems. They
cannot stand straight. They need support to
grow.
• They climb on other trees, wall or a stick for
the support. They are called as Climbers.
