Prices in TPM
• Currently there are 3 prices in CAS TPM
– TPM Base Price
– TPM Gross Price
– TPM Net price

• These Prices feed from SAP via BW. They are read only in CAS and are not sent
outbound from CAS anywhere.
– Pre-Pack level prices are calculated in CAS (in next slides)

TPM Base Price

• Base price (TPM base price) is defined as the basic price for a product
and customer before any discounts. This is the starting price for each
product.
• This is interfaced as product/customer/time dimensions in CAS.
• The calculation of this price is as follows in SAP
– ZP00 +ZSQN {either ZSQN or ZSQS – a customer will not have
both}
• This price is interfaced at customer planning level/material level along
with time dimension in CAS.
• Base price is used for calculation of $ value KPIs in volume build
screen.

Questions
• Will base price continue to be calculated in SAP in the new system?
– 9/23: Yes the base price will be sent from SAP

TPM Gross Price

• Gross price (TPM gross price) is base price - ZAFI condition type
• This is interfaced as product/customer/time dimensions in CAS.
• The calculation of this price is as follows in SAP
– ZP00 - ZAFI
• BW triggers SAP ECC Sales Quote Create function module to determine the Gross Price by
providing a Customer number and Material number and Quantity of 1 EA on a given line. This
function module will then call the standard Pricing function module to calculate the Gross Price
based on respective Pricing Procedure. The Pricing Procedure for US CPD is ZUS101 and the
Gross Price is stored in Subtotal 2(VBAP-KZWI2). Then the Gross Price will be send over to
BW which will then interface to CAS.
• This price is used to determine checkbook earnings.
• Gross price in base volume build and plan metrics.

Questions
• Is gross price customer dependent? Pricing design document says its not
– 9/23 base, gross, and net price are all customer dependent
• Is there a pricing procedure for gross price in SAP?
– 9/23 pricing procedure calculates both base and gross price at sold-to level

TPM Net Price

• Net price (TPM net price) is the price used in CAS in promotion calculations
• This is interfaced as product/customer/time dimensions in CAS.
• The calculation of this price is as follows in SAP
– ZP00 – ZAFI- O/I Allowance (Excluding CAS O/I Allowance)
• The following pricing conditions are used for OI Allowances
– ZSQN - Surcharge
– Z20C – Variable allowance
– Z23C – Performance conditions
– Z24C – Performance conditions

• Net price is an important price in TPM as it is used for all revenue, ROI calculations in CAS.

Pricing follow ups from 9/25

- Can there be a BAPI in SAP which middleware can call for price update?
- There will be a BAPI for base and gross price. The Net Price should be a part of this BAPI as well.
This BAPI can exist in SAP or Vistex. Estimates from SAP and Vistex will be a follow up.

- Why cant Pre-Pack be calculated in same way in SAP for consistency?

- Base and Gross are currently calculated in SAP for pre-packs which will be called by middleware. It
can be extended for Net Price as well in new system. Need estimates for this.
- There will be 2 options here
- All 3 prices are calculated in SAP for pre-packs
- All 3 prices are calculated in CAS. This will require a change in CAS to calculate other 2 prices.
(Note: Currently the net price for all pre-packs are calculated in CAS irrespective of changes to material below them, in future
we need to explore of option of only calculating the prices for the material changed)
