Course Objectives
• Understanding of the three transport mechanisms i.e. momentum, heat and mass transfer
• Analogy in three transport mechanisms in terms of governing laws
• Represent the process behavior mathematically by applying the transport phenomena
fundamentals
• Equation of continuity and equation of change of mass, momentum and energy
• Equation of change to a real physical system and deduce the governing equation by
eliminating the few terms (representing phenomena not occurring in the process)
