• 4G is a fourth generation of
wireless mobile
telecommunication
technology, succeeding 3G.
• The basic difference
between 3G and 4G is in
data transfer and signal
quality.

• 4G was introduced to provide a wide area


network for internet access.
• It provides high bandwidth and
broadband.
• It allow users to download a full-length
feature film within five minutes.
• 4G networks are projected to provide
speeds of 100 Mbps while moving and 1
Gbps while stationary
• 4G system supports Internet Protocol (IP)
VISIONS OF 4G

• The vision of 4G is to access information anywhere, anytime with


seamless connection to a wide range of information & services.
• And receiving large volume of information, data, pictures, video & so
on.
• 4G uses ip as a common protocol so that users are in control because
they are able to choose every application & environment.
• Application adaptability, and being highly dynamic are the main
features of 4G.
