OBJECTIVES:-
How we can get familiar with all logs using
techlog
Understand the basic concepts of Triple
combo
Understand how to interpret Cross plot
Understand the relationship between
(VSH_GR , PHI_ND , SW)
Relation between Fluids ,Net pay ,custom
flag ,CKX_C & perforation
THE WHOLE LOGS THAT WE WILL TALK
ABOUT
EASY WAY TO KNOW ABOUT WHAT’S THE
LOG THAT WE LOOKING FOR

*sometimes we have a
GR_Matrix peak value of GR track
that won’t involve it
GR_Shale with our calculations

Reasons:-
-75% Error from the tool itself
-25% THERE’S SOME radioactive elements which
can’t react with the tool
Such as (Einsteinium,Radon,Actinium…etc)

Triple combo log:-
 The Triple Combo tool string is always run first and acquires most of the basic
petrophysical and lithological logs (density, porosity, resistivity, gamma ray). This
string also measures the borehole width, an important indicator of borehole and log
quality.
 The term “Triple Combo” is derived from the three principle measurements
collected by the tool string: density, porosity and resistivity.

 The Triple Combo is designed to measure formation density, porosity,

deep/intermediate/shallow resistivity, natural gamma radiation, hole size,
and fluid temperature, all in a single logging pass.

NET PAY & GROSS THICKNESS

Gross thickness: (also referred to reservoir thickness) It

is the thickness of the stratigraphically defined interval in which the
reservoir beds occur, including such non-productive intervals as
may be interbedded between the productive intervals. In other
words, it’s the thickness of the whole reservoir.

Net pay (net productive) thickness: It is the thickness

of those intervals in which porosity and permeability are known or
supposed to be high enough for the interval to be able to produce
oil or gas, water and gas is not included to the net pay thickness.
