 INTEGRATING NATIONWIDE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, PHYSICAL


FITNESS AND AMATEUR SPORTS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AND
CREATING FOR THIS PURPOSE THE DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH AND
SPORTS DEVELOPMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
 The government recognizes the need for the development of the youth
 The government realizes the vital role of physical fitness and amateur
programs in the development of a healthy and alert citizenry for national
progress

 CREATING THE NATIONAL, PROVINCIAL, CITY, MUNICIPAL AND


BARANGAY PHYSICAL AND SPORTS DEVELOPMENT COUNCILS (PFSDC)
 Article XIV, Section 19 of the Consititution
 Republic Act No. 6847 created PSC
 To ensure the implementation of the National Policy and Program of
“SPORTS FOR ALL.”
