BIRINGAN
“a place to look for missing people”

Waypoints are said to exist in the following cities:

Engkantos
Biringan is said to be inhabited by the elemental beings,
called ‘engkantos,’ that are believed to be as old as the
mountains and rivers. They have the ability to change
their form in different creatures that they prefer. Further,
rumor tells that there are two types of ‘engkantos’ in
Biringan: the good and the evil.
After a few years, one of the siblings of the missing ladies dreamed
of her sister. She wanted to let them know that she will never come
back home to Manila and even told her not to worry about her
because she is already happy living in Biringan City with her own
family, Carolina and some new friends.

Stories about Biringan
It is rumored that there are Biringan strange-folks that buy stuff from Manila,
Cebu, and even in other countries. Purchases include high-end appliances or
furnitures, sack of cements, and cars, all fully paid for in cold cash, with
delivery addresses in Biringan. It is said that the deliveries lead to dead ends
after finding out that the persons who ordered the deliveries are dead.
However, the purchases still get delivered to the address and the vehicles
vanish after 2-3 days, and the dealer knows for sure that the cars go where they
where intended to be used: picked up surreptitiously by Biringan strange-folk
themselves.

Stories about Biringan
In the 60s or so, a big delivery of construction equipment,
bulldozers, cement mixers, was dropped off at Tacloban port,
fully paid for again in cash, but got stuck because the final
drop off was in Biringan City- the shipment was sent back to
Manila, but the ship never returned and was believed to have
delivered the goods to Biringan port during a late evening
trip. Some of these big-ticket deliveries are specifically
scheduled at night to time the moment when a passage into
the city is supernaturally available (Reach Unlimited, 2017).

Stories about
Biringan
Another story is with the Silver Star bus that was hired
out (pakyaw) by a group of people from Manila for a
Biringan field trip. Since the bus was driving around
strange dirts roads until late at night and they were
getting lost, they spent the night on an unknown roadside
—come morning all the people disappeared and the bus
driver found his bus in the middle of a mountain with no
tracks showing how it got there, and having to call his
home office to get special tow trucks to get it out of the
mountain
(Reach Unlimited, 2017).
