INTRODUCTION

Pollution from industry causes health problems for

people and for animals.it can affect the air ,the soil and
the quality of water in rivers, lakes and seas.
INDUSTRIAL POLLUTION

Industrial pollution is pollution which can be directly

linked with industry,in contrast to other pollution
source. This from of pollution is one of the leading
causes of pollution worldwide.
Types of Industrial Pollution:

 Air pollution.
 Water pollution.
 Soil pollution.
 Noise pollution.
 Nuclear pollution.
1.Air pollution:

Air pollution occurs when different toxic gases like Sulphur di

oxide,Carbon di oxide,Nitrogen di oxide ect.get entitled from
different industries and mix with atmosphere and cause
environmental hazard.
2.Water pollution:

Water pollution is cause by emission of domestic or urban

sewage, agricultural waste and industrial effluents into water
bodies.nowadays ,one of the main sources of water pollution is the
waste material discharged by industrial units.
Cause & Effects

CAUSES:
• Effluents discharged into rivers.
• Oil spils,garbage,sewage water.

EFFECTS:
• Distrubes ecosystrems.
• Loss of aquatic life.
• Spread of Diseases.
3.Soil pollution:

Large qunantity of soil wastes like unused and rejected chemicals

like calcium carbonate,magnesium sulphat,fly ashes,bottles
etc.Are those material that produce industrial waste
unwantedly.Rejected plastics, wood an liquids are dumped over the
surface of soil by almost all industries with difference in degree.
4.Noise pollution:

Industrial noise isusually considered mainly from the

point of view of environmental health and safety, rather
than nuisance,as sustained exposure can cause
permanent hearing damage and raises blood pressure.
Causes &Effects:

CAUSES:
• Industries,Factory Equipment,Generator.
• Construction and civil engineering works.

EFFECTS:
• Hearing loss.
• High BP,strees.
• Sleep Disturbnces.
Suggestions:

 Never use open fires to dispose of water.

 Industries should use fuel with lower sulphur content.
 Industries should monitor their air emissions regularly and take
measure to ensure compliance with the prescribed emission
standards.
 Industries should strictly follow applicable government
regulations on pollution control.
 Take very good care of your pets and their wastes.
 Do not cause loud noises and unwanted sounds to avoid noise
pollution.
 Have a proper waste disposal system especially for toxic waste.
