“Research is a multiple solution for one
problem”

Research:- To search new ways to satisfy our

existing problems.
Solution:- Solution in research can b multiple
for a single problem. So there is no correct
and incorrect concept in research.Solution

AN OVERVIEW
 By birth, we all possess the instinct of
inquisitiveness when the unknown
confronts us.
 Our greater curiosity would lead us to
speculate about the operation of
universe.
 Over many centuries man begin to
develop what seems to be plausible
explanation.
……..SOLVING PROBLEMS

 Dogma (body of teachings of religious,

political and philosophical views) of
Nature’s process.
 Aristotle’s Deductive Method

 Bacon’s Inductive Method

 Charles Darwin’s Hypothesis suggested

methods.

The method, which man employs for obtaining the

knowledge of whatever the unknown, can be termed as
research
RESEARCH
Research refers to search of knowledge.
One can also define research as a scientific and
systematic search for pertinent information
on a specific topic.
Research refers to the systematic method
consisting of:
 enunciating the problem,

 formulating a hypothesis,

 collecting the facts or data,

 analyzing the facts and

 reaching certain conclusion

either in the form of solution(s) towards a

concerned problem or in certain generalization
for some theoretical formulation.
R ES E ARC H
 According to Webster, “Research is studious
inquiry or examination – critical and exhaustive
investigation or experimentation having for its
aim the discovery of new facts and their correct
interpretation”.
 It also aim the discovery of new facts or practical
applications of such new or revised conclusion.
 Scientific research is essentially compounded of
two elements: observation, by which knowledge
of certain facts is obtained through sense-
perception; and reasoning, by which the meaning
of these facts, their interrelations and their
relation to the exiting body of knowledge.
