ILLUSERAPY

PROTOTYPE MODEL

• Our prototype is a combination of having a fast, highly receptive, and efficient light
source accompanied by a round covering to:
a. Increase the Intensity of the Light.
b. Increase the area of dissemination of light.
TARGET AUDIENCE
• Our target audience would be highly focussed on people who are devoid of the
basic necessity of light in their homes and face prolonged periods of darkness.
The audience which we look to cater:
Slum Areas near Delhi

The tribal areas of North East India,

Refugee Camps in Africa and near the Turkish Border

ABOUT US AND SCIENCE BEHIND THE MODEL

• Our product is based on two notions of Illusion and Therapy

• We plan to provide highly receptive LED lights armed by the technology
of phototherapy.
• The source of recharging of lights would be solar power in the
day.
• The therapy will aim to provide a soothing and calm effect to the people
in slum areas.
• We aim to provide employment to women, also improve the light and
quality of life in the slum.
MODEL OF FUNCTIONING
• We plan to start off with 20 homes per week, through one field visit.
• The rest 6 days of the week would be devoted on the subsistence and
funding of the project acknowledging the lack of man-force which we
have.
• We would be handing out one light per home, and will advise the houses
to use the light from 8 pm- 11pm.
• This timing would be based on the dual perspective which we are trying
to cover.
• We would be making the electronic units of the project and take the help
of local women to assemble the product.
MODEL OF ESCALATION
• We plan to start off with the nearby slum areas,
which are completely devoid of light.
• Our selection of locality would be based on the
urgency of issue.
• We have currently shortlisted a few localities
near Delhi.
• Post that, our expansion inside India would be
focussed on North Eastern tribal areas.
• Our major aim is to develop our project enough
to pitch for the WHO Pilot Project Initiative
2021.
FUNDING AND SUSTAINENCE
• Crowdfunding and Fundraising in the initial stages
of work.
• Tie ups with NGO and Local Business willing to
help.
• Funding by WHO Pilot Project, if successful.
