we are using star topology which is popular method of connecting
the cabling in a computer network. In which, each device
connects to a central point via a point-to-point link by Switches.

A star topology is more efficient than Bus and Ring Topology. One
switch is assign to each department in which all the 4 Pc’s the
TCP/IP protocol to create child parent relation among the
computers of the departments to exchange streams of data
saved in the main server handled by the manager of each
Department. The department guarantees reliable and in-order
delivery of data from sender to receiver. It also distinguishes
data for multiple connections by concurrent applications.
 Good performance.
 Scalable, easy to set up and to expand
 Any non-centralized failure will have very little
effect on the network, whereas on a ring
network , it would all fail with one fault.
 Easy to detect faults
 Data Packets are sent quickly as they do not have
to travel through any unnecessary nodes.
 Expensive to install
 Extra hardware required
 If the switch fails the entire system is affected

company, there is a smooth flow of communication between the
departments. IT managers gives the training to employees to get use to
the system for effective and efficient out put. Due to the
implementation of the IT department no duplication of data between
the departments, thus saving lot of energy, cost, time and wastage of
human resource and enhancing the productivity of the company.
 As the IT manager has used the star topology in departments hence any
updating of system will not create any problem. As the IT manager has
used the DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM (DSS) with in the company hence
enabling the firm to coordinate both internal and external business
processes much more precisely. DDS is collection of current or historical
data from small pc data base to a massive PC database.DDS analyze the
data by using OLAP tools.
