MY

EXPERIMENT
Done by: Fatima yousif
ID: H00349543
Steps of the
scientific
method :
◦1-Problem/Question
◦2-Observation/Research
◦3-Formulate a Hypothesis
◦4-Experiment
◦5-Collect and Analyze
Results
◦6-Conclusion
◦7-Communicate the
Results
Step1:
Problem/Questions
◦The question of my experiment :

1- Is the vinegar responsible for balloon

distend?
2- What do you think will happen
if we mixed together baking soda
with the vinegar?

3- What do you think will happen

to the balloon?
Step2: Observation /Research
In this step to observe we must use our
senses to see what will happen in the
experiment.
Step3: Formulate a hypothesis

My hypothesis in this experiment :

If we reduce the amount of vinegar
still, the volume of the balloon will
increase.
Materials used:
Step4: Experiment
*First of all, bring balloons and
put two spoon of soda inside
the balloon using the funnel.

*Second of all, I poured one full

glass of vinegar in the flask.

*Thirdly, I installed the balloon

in the flask to mix the baking
soda and the vinegar together.

The goal from the experiment is ??

What happened after that ???
* The baking soda is made of a substance known as the base,
while vinegar contains an acid, which is vinegar acid. And when
these two substances, vinegar and soda bicarbonate, interact,
creating carbonic acid.

NaHCO₃ CH3COO
+
◦Each part of baking soda contains an atom
of sodium, a hydrogen atom, an oxygen atom,
and a carbon dioxide.
Step5: Collect
◦Vinegar contains acetic acid, each of and analyze
contains a hydrogen atom and an acetate ion.
results

NaHCO₃ CH3COO
+
Step6:
Conclusion
◦According to the result of
the experiment
◦I disagree with my
hypotheses because I
discovered that there is
relationship between the
vinegar and the size of
the balloon because when
I decreased the amount of
vinegar the size of the
balloon decreased even if
I add the same amount of
baking soda.
