• Jumeriah Beach Hotel was
designed in 1993 and is an
integral part of the Jumeriah
Beach Resort Development.
The Hotel has a dynamic
wave form plan and
elevation that sweeps
around the landscaped
resort pools and one of the
best beaches in Dubai.
• The hotel contains
598 rooms and
suites, 19 beachfront
villas, and 20
restaurants and bars.
This wave-shaped
hotel complements
the sail-shaped Burj
Al Arab, which is
adjacent to the
Jumeirah Beach
Hotel.
•  The hotel is 26
storeys high with
each of its 598 rooms
facing towards the
Arabian Gulf and the
SUSTAINABILITY:
•Jumeirah Beach Hotel was certified by Green Globe in 2013 for
its outstanding sustainability management plan that was
developed in-line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
programme. 
•Jumeirah Beach Hotel retained the Green Globe Certification
(GGC) for a second year following a recent sustainability audit.
•Jumeirah Beach Hotel achieved a compliance score of 85%
against the Green Globe Standard for Sustainable Travel and
Tourism, an increase of eight percentage points or over 10%,
from 77% in 2013.
•uses grey water from Dubai Municipality for irrigation purposes
which helps conserve water supplies efficiently, responsibly and
intelligently. 
• installation of room management systems for all 126
renovated rooms, which helps to monitor, manage and control
the energy consumed within the rooms.

Grey Water for Irrigation
(TSE): At Jumeirah Beach
Hotel there is use treated
sewage effluent (Grey)
water from Dubai
Municipality for irrigation.
This change has helped
Jumeirah in working
towards the increasing
environmental issue and
lower operation cost.
• Energy Wheel - Guest
Rooms Toilet Exhaust:
They are in a process of
completion of installation
of energy wheels in JBH
for the Guest Rooms Toilet
Exhaust
• Room Management System
(RMS): JBH has installed
guest room management
systems for all renovated
rooms, RMS helps us to
monitor, manage and control
our energy in the rooms.
RMS also helps control
unnecessary lighting, cooling
for hours while guests are
away which help us towards
energy savings.
• Variable Frequency Drives:
JBH has installed VFD
(Variable Frequency Drives)
for the entire Air handling
unit & Return Air Fans in the
JBH thus huge saving on
electricity energy from the
actual power consumption of
the motors.
