Bilge Ebiri-The Croods isn't particularly
smart, but it has just enough wit to keep us
engaged and just enough speed to keep us
from feeling restless.
Lisa Kennedy-It captures the wonder (and
more gently, the anxiety) of discovery time and
time again. And the filmmakers have a hoot
playing with the Croods' encounters with, as
well as their misunderstandings of, all things
new.

◉ Christopher Orr-The animation is first-rate, with moments of genuine visual
imagination, and the story, while unremarkable, is entirely adequate.
◉ Laremy Legel-How to Train Your Dragon" and "Lilo & Stitch" are completely
indicative of the experience you'll have with "The Croods," which is to say a
supremely positive one.
◉ Bob Mondello-As family viewing, it's pleasant enough: primitive, yes, but in a
digitally sophisticated way that's boisterous, funny and will no doubt sell a lot of
toys.

◉ JY S-Chris Sanders and Kirk De Micco deliver The Croods in better fashion than
marketed.Behind the 90 minute facade of obnoxious caveman, there really is a fun
family-oriented story. The pacing is quick, the characters are amusing, and while the plot
details are light and simple, it all makes for a good time. The final 20 minutes is a
notable highlight.Visually, The Croods never blows it out of the water, but it stays
visually pleasing on the eyes with some brightly colored characters and facial
expressions resembling the "Dreamworks Face."Nicolas Cage is a little awkward at first,
but his voice grows as the film progresses. Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds provide
satisfying enough voice work for 2 of the other major characters. All in all, The Croods
meets the expectations of a recommendable family animation.

◉ Racheal L-This movie was outstanding I loved the music and the characters were great I recommend
adults and kids watch It. And I got so intrigued by the plot and thought Every thing was great.
◉ Noah M-I love this movie so much, it is my 2nd favorite DreamWorks animated movie, one of my
favorite animated movies, and one of my favorite movies of all time. The animation was outstanding
and gorgeous, I especially loved the Macawnivore (rainbow cat), Bear Owl, Belt, Ground Whale,
Guy, and all of the Croods. The writing was really funny. The story was really fun. The voice over
performances from Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Cloris Leachman, Catherine Keener,
and Clark Duke were excellent and really funny. This is an A+ movie to me.

My
Opinion

The Croods is a playful, funny movie. It centers around a family
of cavemen and a person they meet named Guy. Basically Guy
helps them survive this new world that they are experiencing
since their home was destroyed. I liked this because of the
comedy and lessons within it. Only thing I did not like was the
mother's personality. If she was more outspoken like her
daughter that to me would have made the movie better. Also
the little details in the animation are amazing!!

◉ The Actors’ performance
Croods is directed and co-written by Kirk
DeMicco and Chris Sanders, and it stars Nicolas
Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, and
Catherine Keener. For my opinion, this is just as
amazing as great as Kung Fu Panda. Nicolas Cage
being Nicolas Cage is always hilarious to watch as
he goes over the top, and it works for this movie,
but never too much of it that people would find it
annoying. The rest of the cast are also great as
well, and they got their moments that shine in
this.
