High-Flyers
Last Saturday SKKK (1) held its annual sports day in a grand
scale.
The field was decorated with numerous colourful flags while huge
vibrant tents were set up representing each house.
Many parents came to provide moral support for their participating
children.
One of the long-awaited events was the 100m sprint race
between two rivals, Azmir and Hakeem.
All spectators cheered loudly and enthusiastically for their
respective team members.
It was a close call but Azmir won the race by a 2 second lead.
It was an enjoyable day for the students and they went home
feeling exhausted but in high spirits.

Last weekend, Kaerul and his family did their house chores
together as they knew many hands make work light.
His father, Encik Zakri, was watering the planted flowers using a
water hose.
His younger sister and his mother worked hand in hand to wash
the pile of dirty dishes.
Kaerul himself was sweeping the floor with a brown broom and a
dustpan.
Kaerul and his family enjoyed themselves very much.
They wanted to make sure that their house looked clean and as
spotless as snow.
Karina washed the fragile plates carefully while her mother
handed the dirty dishes that she had collected on the table.

Malaysians celebrate its Independence Day on the 31 August every
year.
Last year, the annual parade was held at the Dataran Boulevard,
Putrajaya instead of its usual spot at Dataran Merdeka.
Many people from all walks of life came to honour this special day
while watching the specially choreographed parade.
A troop of soldiers carried proudly our national flag, Jalur Gemilang
on their shoulders to march past the spectators.
Everyone cheered at the top of their voice and waved their own flag
in respect for our national pride.
Several different bands from various schools and government
agencies played non stop patriotic music throughout the procession.
When the national anthem was played, every Malaysian stood up
and sang their heart out.
The park was decorated with vibrant and colourful flags.

A group of pupils and their teacher from SKKK (1) are camping at
a jungle nearby.
They set up a huge tent to accommodate the campers
comfortably.
The teacher has assigned each student with respective task and
chores.
Kamal is responsible for collecting bundles of firewood in order to
prepare the campfire.
His best friend, Mawi collects a few bottles of clean water from
the nearby river.
The teacher is giving instruction to one of the students on the
method of cooking for the campers.
The teacher wants the pupils to have the confidence in preparing
the campsite by themselves.
They are all happy and joyful to set up their campsite
successfully.

There are numerous people waiting at the bus station this
morning.
They are waiting to aboard the buses to their respective
destinations.
Ahmad and his sister are on the way to school.
The hawkers are busy selling food and drinks as well as
magazines and newspapers to the customers.
Encik Ahmad is holding a briefcase and waiting for the bus to him
to his workplace.
A lady is buying some magazines to read at the bus station.
Some of the people are sitting leisurely on the bench.
The passengers queue up properly before boarding the buses.

Felix likes to play badminton every evening with his close
companions.
They play at the badminton court near their housing area.
They play badminton using racquets and shuttlecocks.
He is the star player of the badminton team and his idols are the
Sidek brothers.
They play earnestly as the state championship is just around the
corner.
Every badminton player in the school practice their heart out to
qualify for the tournament.
The badminton match between the two top doubles’ teams is
exciting but sengit.
One of the player strike the shuttlecock as hard as he could to
score his team’s winning point.

They enjoyed themselves very much.

The runners ran as fast as lightning to finish the race.
