CONDITIONALS

CONDITIONALS
• There are four types of conditionals:

• 0 conditional.
• 1st conditional.
• 2nd conditional.
• 3rd conditional.
SECOND CONDITIONAL
• We use it to talk about things in the future that are probably not going to be true.
Maybe I'm imagining some dream for example.

• Structure:
• Subj+would+inf verb + IF Simple past.

• Examples:
• She would buy a car if she had money.
• Ella compraria un carro si ella tuviera dinero

• If she had money, she would buy a car.


• Si ella tuviera dinero, ella compraria un carro
SECOND CONDITIONAL
• Frecuently we use were with all of the pronouns.

Examples:

• I would be happy if she were here


• . Sería feliz si ella estuviera aquí.

• If Marcos were millionaire, he would buy a luxury flat.

• Sussan would be a great writer if she were more interested.


SECOND CONDITIONAL EXAMPLES

• She would pass the exam if she studied.


• Ella pasaria el examen si ella estudiara

• If I had his number, I would call him.

• If I were you, I wouldn't go out with that girl.



Si yo fuera tú, no saldría con esa chica.

• She would travel all over the world if she were rich.



Ella viajaría por todo el mundo si fuera rica.
SECOND CONDITIONAL QUESTIONS
• Examples:

• What would you do if you were Jeff Bezos.?

• Where would you live if you were rich?

• If you could be a famous person, who would you be?

• If you could have a superpower, what superpower would you have?

• What would you do if you awoke being invisible?
