What are Transitions and Sequencers?
Sequencers guide the audience
over the smaller bridges that
connect ideas within the main
points of your presentation.

Transitions are like bridges.

TRANSITION SEQUENCERS
They link the main ideas of your
presentation together.
Without transitions the audience will not
be able to understand the relationship
between your ideas.
Your ideas will seem random.
Transition are the LARGE bridges:

Practice:
Read the following passage and double underline the transitions, and circle the sequencers.

We start from Volcano Island of the Federated Association of First Idea Islands. Next we
cross to Arrow Lagoon Island. Last is Lake Island. After we’ve seen the Federated
Association of First Idea Islands, we will look at the Idea Island Group 2. First is Little Palm
Tree Island and second is Whale Island. Third is Big Palm Island. When we have seen all of
Idea Island Group 2, what comes next? I’ll tell you. It’s Republic of Idea 3 Islands, the first of
which is Pineapple Island. After that is Waterfall Island. Last is Little Grass Shack Island.
