Simple Past Tense
Simple past tense is a form of tense that
states an action completed at a certain
time in the past. In simple past tense,
time information is usually referred to or
written specifically. Example : yesterday,
two days ago, last week, etc.

In simple past tense, it is divided into
two forms of verbs (commonly called
verb 2), namely regular and irregular.
Regular Irregular
walk→walked, teach→taught,
call→called, eat→ate,
talk→talked, get→got,
used→used, bring→brought,
study→studied. give→gave,
drink→drank.

• Simple past tense is a form of tense that states an
action completed at a certain time in the past. In
simple past tense, time information is usually

• Simple past tense: sentences that talk about events
that have passed. Use V2 if negative sentences use
did + not and if the question sentence uses was /
were for nominal sentences and did for verbal
sentences
