Nehru Memorial Museum is located in one of the


most imposing and stately buildings of Lutyen's New
Delhi, Teen Murti Bhavan on Teen Murti Road.
Originally the official home of the British
commander-in-chief of the Indian army, this
Depicting various facets of life of the great statesman, the
memorial has a fine collection of rare photographs from his
family album, his personal letters and newspaper clippings
providing detailed information on National Movement of
India. The visitors can view Nehru's bedroom, study room and
drawing room as he left them through large glasses. These
spacious teak-paneled rooms with high ceilings are laid with
some very personal belongings of the able leader. There are
also on display his stylish clothes of summer and winter
reflecting his elegant taste apart from gifts, treasured curios,
presents and precious awards he received during his lifetime
from various countries and organizations
• An eternal flame burns representing the values and foresightedness
of Nehruji just near the beautiful flower garden at the back of the
house. Besides it, there is also a rock carved out with thankful
words of the dynamic person for his countrymen.
Teen Murti House also has a rich library, Nehru Memorial Library,
which is an excellent research center for Indian History. The library
has the provision to give temporary membership to interested
persons.

• The Nehru Planetarium in New Delhi built in the memory of the India's first Prime
Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. it's primary aim is to promote astronomy education.
The regular programmes of the Planetarium include public show.

coordinates various astronomy quiz contests astrophotography workshops, space
art contests, telescope making workshops, evening or night sky watch and public
lectures.

Late Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. It is the best place
to learn about the history of the Independence Movement of India. The
museum offers photographs of Jawaharlal Nehru in various phases of his
life. The colonial building structure has high ceilings, teak panels, spacious
verandas and well-maintained gardens. Prior to independence, this
building served as the official residence of the Commander-in-Chief of the
British forces in India. Nehru lived here for 16 years.
Also known as Teenmurti Bhawan, it now houses a museum, a library and
a planetarium, dedicated to Nehru. The personal museum here is actually
the bedroom, the drawing room and the study preserved exactly as they
were at the time of Nehru's death. They have a visual display of his
achievements, his childhood and youth. The Gifts Gallery exhibits some of
the priceless gifts received by Nehru during his travel in India and
overseas, including the Bharat Ratna medal that was awarded to him in
1955. The Jawahar Jyoti, the eternal flame that is kept burning day and
night, symbolizes the ideals of Jawaharlal Nehru

Nehru State Museum comes as a breath of fresh
air. A vibrant place, full of entertaining
information regarding the woodcarvings, musical
instruments, creations and types of textiles and
handicrafts, the museum provides a quiet relief
for the tired legs and fatigued body to relax and
enjoy the culture of Arunachal Pradesh. There is
also a special section on archeological finds. A
workshop located inside the Handicrafts section
prides itself on its expertise on traditional cane
manufacture and one can witness the work as it
progresses. An informative library with books
ranging from the state to world activities is also
open to public.
