Background about Lenin
● Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov better known by Lenin was born on April 22, 1870,
Simbirk, Ulyanovsk, Russia

● He died on 21 January 1924

● Lenin was very famous:


○ He followed Communism Ideology of Marxism Leninism
○ He was a Russian revolutionary, lawyer, politician, and political theorist.
○ He had served as head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 to 1924 and of the Soviet
Union from 1922 to 1924.
○ He was the first leader of the USSR.

Lenin was a famous leader:

● Lenin was the founder of the communist party in Russia.


● He was also the leader of the 1917 Bolshevik revolution.
● Lenin was also the first leader of the Soviet Union .

Lenin stabilized Russia

● He stabilized Russia after the revolution of 1905 (wave of mass political and
social unrest that spread through vast areas of the Russian Empire).
● He gave hope to Russian after the revolution (1905-1914) a new
government.
● Lenin had gain many supporter that stabilized the Russian citizens.
● He made possible the Victory of the October Revolution 1917.

Lenin contributed for the Russia development:
● Lenin had contributed for the improvement of Russia.

● That he paved the way for future political leaders to modernize (update)
Russian civilization and the 1905 Revolution.
Lenin villainous deeds(1)
Lenin’s war communism policy
● Resulted in the confiscation(impound) of the crops grown
by laborer (working man ) farmers,which led to the
starvation of millions of Russian citizen.
● Peasants who concealed (hidden) their farms were either
killed,exiled or jailed

Lenin Murdering people:
● He killed others competitors
● He personally murdered the previous Tsar along with his wife and children. He
murdered them to eliminate the possibility of the Tsar returning to power.

One Political Ideology:
● He outlawed (banned) political parties expect the
communist party.
● He didn’t want other parties, abolished all political parties
● That brought a civil war because most disagreed with the
Bolshevik party
Conclusion
● Lenin was a hero but controversial leader.
● Lenin was a hero, because
○ He was the founder of the communist party in Russia.
○ He was a famous revolutionary, he gave the people a new hope.
○ He had contributed for the stabilization & development of Russia.
● However, Lenin was also controversial, because
○ He was never peaceful with his disagreements either, as he managed to kill millions of
Russian citizens through starvation or through massacre,
○ He was really not open to other opinion than his own,
○ He was a tough communist to get what he needed such as killing people or imprison people
who were against the communist party.
