The start of handisport
The first games with people with disabilities were played around 1890.
Just after the war started and when it finished loads of people had
disabilities.
Soon loads of other clubs open but not only for muets and deafs but for
any disabled people. In 1970 numerous competitions were created for
disabled people. And in the same year they did the first world
championship for disabled people.
I find that it is sad to think that before 1890 disabled people couldn’t
play profesional games at all, but on the other side I think that the
technology wasn’t evolved enough in order for disabled people to play
sports competitively.
I am happy to know that when the first club for disabled people was
created loads were rapidly created after and that it didn’t take a lot of
time for people to create other clubs.
