 INTRODUCTION
 REATINING WALL
 REINFORCED EARTH WALL
 PILE ,PILE CAP ,PIER CAP
 GEOTEXTILE MEMBRANE
 ABUTMENT SHAFT
GAWAR CONSTRUCTION
 It is incorporated in 31 march 2008.
 The main office of company is situated in Haryana
 The company is into the business of constructing,
building, estate developing, erection, furnishing,
renovating buildings, dams, roads, reservoirs,
sanitary, water supply, electrical and constructional
engineering for Government, Semi-Government,
public bodies, corporations, municipalities and other
authorities.
  The existing 108 km long stretch of NH-73 between
Panchkula and Yamuna nagar connects Haryana to
UP. for this NHAI awarded to Gawar construction
limited for the completion of project
About the project
 Construction of flyover at Shastri park intersection
(6 lane) and seelampur (2 lane),basically it is the
project of the public works department(PWD)
 The estimated cost of the project is 300cr
 The project is divided in two ways one is the Public
Works Department (PWD) would construct a 700m
long six lane flyover with a double carriageway at
Shastri Park junction
 The second project will be 1.2 km long two-lane,
one-way flyover which will be constructed parallel to
the existing one-way flyover at Seelampur crossing.

RETAINING WALL
A retaining wall is a structure that holds or
retains soil behind it
CONCRETING IN RETAINING
WALL
Concreting is done by ready mix concrete
mix(RMC) ,hand vibrator can be used for the proper
settling of the concrete at the bottom.
SOIL FILLING
Soil is filled by the JCB crane before the filling of soil
at side of the retaining wall macdrain and high
density poly ethylene (HDPE) membrane are used for
the drainage ,separation , filtration etc for following
purposes. Sand is compacted by the vibrating smooth
wheeled roller and side is compacted bye the baby
roller
MACDRAIN
The geocomposites are produced by laminating one
or two geotextiles, with filter function, on a drainage
element. The range of Maccaferri drainage
geocomposites is called MacDrain.
PILE
 A pile is basically a long cylinder of a
strong material such as concrete that
is pushed into the ground to act as a
steady support for structures built on
top of it
PILE BREAKING

BEFORE THE BREAKING AFTER THE BREAKING OF

OF PILE HEAD PILE HEAD
PILE CAP

 A pile cap is a thick concrete mat that

rests on concrete or timber piles that
have been driven into soft or unstable
ground to provide a suitable stable
foundation
  It usually forms part of the foundation
of a building, typically a multi-story
building, structure or support base for
heavy equipment.
REINFORCEMENT OF PILE AFTER THE
CAP REINFORCEMNET DONE
PIER
 A Pier foundation is a (square, rectangular,
cylindrical ) columns to support the
superstructure and transfer large super-imposed
loads to the firm strata below.
 It stood several feet above the ground. It is also
known as “post foundation
 Pier are of two type :(1) masonry or concrete pier
(2) drilled caissons
Reinforced Earth wall
 A Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE)
retaining wall is a composite structure
consisting of alternating layers of
compacted backfill and soil reinforcement
elements, fixed to a wall facing.
Paraweb
 ParaWeb strips are planar structures consisting of a
core of high tenacity polyester yarn tendons
encased in a polyethylene sheath. The strips are
suitable for reinforcement applications in
combination with concrete wall facing panels.
Paraweb
Sand compaction
• compaction of sand is very important in flyover ,if
sand in not compacted well then our structure
may fall down
• Mainly we use vibrating smooth wheeled roller in
road construction
• Side of reinforced earth wall are compacted by
plate vibrator/compactor or mini roller
Geotextile membrane
 Geotextile are permeable fabric which,
when used in association with soil ,
have the ability to separate, filter,
reinforce, protect, or drain. Typically
made from polypropylene or polyster
Abutment
 In engineering, abutment refers to the
structure at the end of a bridge span or dam
whereon the structure rests or contact
 To transfer loads from a superstructure to
its foundation elements
 To maintain a balance in between the vertical
and horizontal force components of bridge.
