Introduction

 The mission and vision of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is
dedicated to creating adventure, conveying knowledge, conserving
nature, and serving the community. The Cincinnati Zoo and
Botanical Garden is the second-oldest zoo in the United States.

 The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is one of the most popular
attractions and a Top Zoo for Children according to Parent’s Magazine.
Each year, more than 1.3 million people visit its 71-acre site, which is
home to more than 500 animal and 3,000 plant species.
  The existence of an unsatisfactory condition,
a felt problem that needs a solution

 The increasement of attendance


and revenues
 Boosting of sales for food and
retail outlet membership
The reason why it is necessary
to conduct the study.
 Because zoo’s like Cincinnati  are meant to
entertain and educate the public but have a strong
emphasis on scientific research and species
conservation. There is a trend toward giving animals
more space and recreating natural habitats. Also
with the previous POS systems were not integrated
and the ticketing, retail and foodservice areas were
all running on different hardware and software
platforms. These systems did not allow the Zoo to
create cross promotions or analyze the business
across segments. 
Solution

 What we're going to do in this problem are replaced the


four legacy point of sale systems and upgrading with a
single platform – POS Ticketing Systems. Upgraded
POS Ticketing Systems will be very effective and with
the goal of improving efficiency while increasing
attendance and per capita spending through cross
promotions and member discounts with Zoo’s Loyalty
Rewards card for them to be happy. Enlisted IBM
Knowing that company provides real-time analysis and
reporting.
Conclusion

 With using business intelligence, it improves the


Zoo’s ability to make better decisions about
operations has led to dramatic improvements in
sales. So, in the future. Zoo’s management can
get more revenue from taxes in order to provide
the same level of quality and service.
