How is one’s freedom an essential
characteristic of ethics?
Freedom is an essential characteristic of
ethics because when we talk about freewill
that means we have the choice to do good
or bad. It’s the decision we make.
How does this understanding of
freedom impact your life?
It impacts our lives because it makes us
think about the choices we want to
make and/or the choice we are about to
make. If we do a bad thing, there will be
consequences; if we do the right thing,
then it’ll be fine. So it really impacts our
life because we don’t want to get in
trouble or upset our loved ones.
