Amorsolo was the son of Pedro
Amorsolo and Bonifacia Cueto. His
parents gave him life and saw the world
on May 30, 1892 at Paco, Manila. He
spend most of his childhood in the small
town of Daet, Camarines Norte where
his love for the rural life became the
foundation of his artistic outlook. He is
one of the significant figures in the
world of painting in the Philippines.
