AND HEAT Deiby Poveda Bustos The Difference between “Heat” and “Hot”
• The principal difference is that the word “hot” can be
defined as something is very warm E.g: The air is so hot today The best way to eat beef is when it´s hot Temperature competes with Heat
• Temperature isn´t the same as heat because it
measures the grade of hotness of something, also we can say temperature is a number which people gives to something to measure heat: 98º celsius Can you measure heat?
• No it can´t be measured directly because it is the
average kinetic energy of the atoms or molecules in a body • Heat content of a body depends on: Temperature, mass, and the material it´s made • Also the only way to tranfer heat is posible between one cold object (it receives heat) and the hot object (who transfers heat)
