Conditions for interference to take place

• Under normal conditions, the interference of light is not easily observed.

There are conditions that must be satisfied to produce observable
interference patterns:
• 1.The waves must be coherent( have the same frequency)
• 2.The waves must meet a point
• 3.If the waves are polarized, they must be in the same plane of polarization.
• 4.The waves must be of the same type.
• 5.The amplitude must be in the same plane of polarization.
