PRESENT PERFECT TENSE

Uno de los usos del Present Perfect


Tense es para hablar de experiencias
que suceden en nuestras vidas.

She has worked at the store
We have visited Italy

El Present Perfect Tense en la forma


afirmativa es formado:
HAVE/HAS + PAST PARTICIPLE OF THE VERB
• El Past Participle de los verbos regulares siguen las mismas
reglas de la forma past.
• The Past Participle de los verbos irregulares no siguen
ninguna regla, cada una es diferente.
For example:

• Bill has played soccer.


Subj have + verb in past participle complement

• They have known each


other at collegue.

En la forma negativa,
usamos HAVEN’T o
HASN’T.
E.g.:
Jake hasn’t eaten candies for a year.

Olivia and her friend haven’t bought new clothes
since last winter.

También podemos negar


una oración utilizando la
palabra never, pero ya no
se usa haven’t o hasn’t

PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
En la forma interrogative es necesario invertir la
posición de HAVE / HAS. Aqui podemos usar la palabra
ever para enfatizar cuando hablamos.
E.g.:

Affirmative: She has played the guitar for two months.

Interrogative: Has she ever played the guitar for a long


time?
Se puede responder con Yes o No:
• Yes, she has
• No, she hasn’t

E.g.:

Affirmative: They have known her since second grade.

Interrogative: Have they ever known her since you were a


child?

• Yes, they have


• No, they haven’t
Present perfect or simple
past?
Recordemos que el present perfect se usa para hablar
de experiencias en nuestras vidas y el simple past para
hablar de un evento especifico que pasó

• I have worked there since for 5 years.


• I worked there in 2009 .

A menudo una conversación se empieza con present perfect y


para preguntar mas detalles o información se usa simple past.
