PERFECT TENSE
DEFINITION
Past future perfect tense is a verb
form to discuss activities that would
have been done in the past.
 This form is commonly used in the
main clause of a conditional
sentence.
FORMULA
1. VERBAL SENTENCE
(+) S + Should / would + have + Verb 3
(-) S + Should / would + not + have + Verb 3
(?) Should / would + S + have + Verb 3
2 . NOMINAL SENTENCE
(+) S + would/ should + have + been + complement
(-) S + would/ should + not + have + been +
complement
(?) would/ should + S + have + been + complement
EXAMPLE
VERBAL
(+) Dewi should have given me a new book last week
(-) Dewi should not have given me a new book last week
(?) Should Dewi have given me a new book last week ?

(+) Rani should have worked her homework last night


(-) Rani should not have worked her homework last night
(?) Should Rani have worked her homework last night ?
NOMINAL
(+) Beni would have been a rich man at that time
(-) Beni would not have been a rich man at that time
