Do's and Dont's of Clean Room

What is Cleanroom ?
A clean area, that is designed to
reduce the contamination of
processes and materials.

That means clean air, stable


temperature, stable humidity,
clean water, gases and
chemicals, lighting, processing-
equipment, inspection and test
equipment, room infrastructure,
etc.

This is accomplished by removing


or reducing contamination sources.

Cleanroom Do’s
 Only authorized personnel will be allowed inside the
cleanroom.

 Only take what is authorized to use in the cleanroom.

 Only dedicated tools are allowed in the cleanroom.

 Do gowning in the proper manner as per SOP/PR/004.


Cntd...
 Keep doors closed.
 In the air lock open single door at a time.
 Use pass-through properly.
 Protection devices (gloves, pro feet, caps and masks) shall be
working properly, if deviation observed, it shall be reported
to the supervisor.
 Personnel having illness, fewer, skin disease or any
contagious disease shall not be allowed to enter into the
clean room.
Cleanroom Don’ts

 No operation manuals or instruction sheets are allowed.

 Do not walk fast in cleanroom.

 Do not expose any facial/head hair.

 Do not use pass-through for storage.


Cntd...

 No bare clothes are allowed inside the cleanroom.

 Do not open the door to the cleanroom for passing of products


back and forth – use the pass-through instead.

 Do not congregate. No running and try to maintain silence (Avoid


talking).

Order of Gowning

1. Wear head cap and mask

2. Wear Apron

4. Wear Hand glows

3. Wear butties
Common Gowning Errors
 Hair protruding from bouffant.

 Ears not covered.

 Gloves rolled up and/or frock sleeves pulled back from


gloves. The gloves should be fully extended up the
forearms.

How to open door in clean room
Area Cleaning Procedure

In the morning before starting work Clean the solid dry waste of area
flooring with Nylon / plastic broom / Vacuum Cleaner.

Remove any solid waste, which stacked to the floor with the help of Wet
Mop

First mop the floor by using 70% IPA, let IPA to evaporate for 5 minutes

Than mop the floor with savlon and detol alternatively Solution, wait till
area become dry
Area Cleaning Procedure

At the after noon before starting work Clean the solid dry waste of area
flooring with Nylon / plastic broom / Vacuum Cleaner.

Remove any solid waste, which stacked to the floor with the help of Wet Mop.

Mop the floor by using 2.5% Dettol / 2.5% Savlon alternatively, let it to stay for
5 minutes
