    A) Intra oral repair.


    B) Extra oral repair .
    A-intra oral repair
    1-defective porcelain fused to metal.
    • Etching gel.
    • Rinse then dry with oil – free air.
    • Silane coupling agent.
    • Layer of 0.5 mm of opaquer.
    • Layer of bonding liquid.
    • Selected composite shade in layers of max 2mm .
    • Finishing and polishing .
    2) Occlusal perforation of base metal restorations
    Amalgam filling material.

    3) Occlusal perforation of gold restorations.


    Gold foil.
    b)Extra oral repair
    1- Defective porcelain fused to metal .
    • Low fusing porcelain.
    2) Occlusal perforation of the restoration.
    • Soldering technique.
    3) Repair of fractured solder joints.
    • Resoldering.
    4)correct overextending margin .
    • Adjusted.
    • Remake the restoration is indicated in the
    following cases.
    - Need to change the bridge design.
    - Looseness of the abutment.
    - Fractured ceramic core.
    - Cervical caries related to the crown margin.
