QB POSITION IS THE ONLY POSITION ON THE TEAM


THAT IS NOT OPEN FOR TRYOUTS. WE MAKE ALL
DECISIONS ON WHO WILL WORKOUT AT THE POSITION
QUARTERBACK MUSTS

QB’s in the Shark Spread n Shred Offense Must:

1. Have outstanding leadership & competitive qualities. Must have a


burning desire to win & to see their teammates be successful.

2. Have great footwork in the pocket.

3. Recognize fronts (odd/odd stack/even/even stack) & coverages (1


FS/2 FS shells).

4. Understand the Difference between Man & Zone


WIDE RECEIVER SELECTION

•Athletes that play well in space.

•Wide Receivers X & Z – 1 Deep threat & 1 possession receiver if


possible.

•Slot Receivers S & Y – Superback is a converted tailback & Y is


usually more physical of the inside receivers.

PLAYERS MUST UNDERSTAND THAT ALL POSITIONS ARE


OPEN EVERY YEAR. THERE IS NO DEPTH CHART UNTIL
PADS COME ON!
WIDE RECEIVER MUSTS

Wide Receivers in the Shark Spread n Shred Offense Must:

1. Be able to Stalk Block & take pride in Blocking.

2. Run Full Speed Patterns whether they are the intended


Receiver or not

3. Understand the Difference between Man & Zone

4. Be able to effectively release vs Defenders (Contact vs


Collision)
