HISTORY

operational functions in direct relation with the main risk factors that threat
the national security.
ROLE
  The infantry has an important role in the total actions of the Ground Forces
because: it represents the main component of the Ground Forces and it has
alone or with other specialties decisive military actions in any zone and in any
direction of the national territory; it is a force capable to realize the presence,
expansion, continuity and domination in the field and to support in any
moment all the military actions and the structures of infantry are present on all
the national territory.
