• In Philosophical terms, it is the BEING, which is the
source of a person’s consciousness.
• In Psychology, Sociology or Religion, “SELF” is the
essence of a person: his thoughts, feelings and actions,
experiences, beliefs, values, principles and relationships.
• Is defined as the cognitive and affective representation
of one’s identity.
