HECTOR HORACIO MAGNETTO

Magnetto was Born

july 9,1944 in
Chivilcoy,Argentina

In the early seventies he

earned a degree as public
accountant with high
honors from the National
University of La Plata.

He became affiliated with the pro-industry political party, the

Integration and Development Movement.

On March 2, 1972, he was hired as an advisor to Ernestina Herrera, the

director and majority owner of Clarín, an Argentine newspaper.
 In 2008 he received a Konex Platinum Award and in 2010 he received an
award on behalf of the Clarín newspaper from the Association of Argentine
Journalistic Entities

Magnetto was distinguished with several recognitions from

institutions in Argentina and the world throughout his career as a
public accountant.

In 2016, he published the book "Así lo viví“ with the sociologist Marcos
Novaro and with the forewords of the journalists Carlos Pagni and Marcelo
Longobardi.

2020, Magnetto is vice president of the Argentine Business Association,

founder and member of the Ibero-American Forum, member of the World
Association of Newspapers.
