Possibility to customize the fields and some
workflows is rather simple and a lot of tutorials
are available on the internet.
The community version is free as are most
modules and some paying modules developed
for specific purposes are available in the
marketplace.
It is easy to configure products with accounting,
everything is smooth.
Oracle
Financial management will be significantly
enhanced. Moving to the Cloud is going to
greatly enhance analytics and reduce or
eliminate manual redundancies.
Leveraging work flow capacity for resource
requests will also save us a lot of time and
energy in trying to help the project managers
find the correct resources managers and helping
resource managers understand what their
employee's capacity and skills are for the type of
work.
Eliminates the need to track a more detailed
plan outside of the tool, this will help project
managers plan better and have more control
over hours spent on certain tasks.

Odoo Oracle

Some of the 'landing pages' in the system are Difficult to teach these programs to less
not user actionable/changeable. For instance, computer savvy people.
setting the pipeline of the sales, which appears
for every salesmen user, even if there is no need
for him/her to set it. It can't be turned off.

Being open source software, Odoo should be
more easily tweak able. However, it is difficult
to find the proper information for the
developers about how to do it. There is a lot of
information but not in a well-organized way.
Significant problem is the cost. Companies pays
a lot of money for these programs and usually
ends up by using just a cloud based excel
program.
