 Vocabulary learning is an essential part
 Meanings of new words are very often emphasized
 Central to language teaching
 Can't afford all the words
 Difficult to choose the most necessary words
 The burden of vocabulary learning
 How to cope with the formidable task?
 Practice always makes perfect.

Our software is a personal vocabulary practicing storage, not a


word storage only. It is a desktop based application.

 Our software will be helpful for those who face difficulties for English,

 Find cause of failure or difficulties in learning language by statistics

 Background Studies
• Dictionary is the standard collection of words but vocabulary is the words learned
by a individual. A person can develop her/his vocabulary but not dictionary.

• Some organizations make ranking on vocabulary level based on gender, nation,


country, etc.

• Also various types of test taken worldwide in online & offline to define the
vocabulary level

• Vocabulary learning dilemma: learning all words is not possible, difficult to


choose which words are necessary to learn.

• Some English language proficiency test that need vocabulary knowledge: SAT II,
Cambridge English Language Assessment, Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE),
CAEL, TOEFL, TSE, TOEIC, TrackTest, ITEP, TELC, etc.

 BBC Learning English -- learners will have access to a plethora of vocabulary activities
and tasks great for classroom inclusion.
 Confusing Words – a collection of 3210 words that are troublesome to readers and
writers. Words are grouped according to the way they are most often confused or
misused.
 Just The Word -- a cool website that helps students make informed decisions as to the
right word selection to use in their writing.
 Lexipedia -- an online visual semantic network with dictionary and thesaurus reference
functionality.
 Wordnik -- shows definitions from multiple sources, so learners can see as many
different takes on a word's meaning as possible.
 Lingro -- provides an online environment that allows anyone learning a language to
quickly look up and learn the vocabulary most important to them.
 Vocab Grabber -- analyzes any text that learners interested in, generating lists of the
most useful vocabulary words and showing them how those words are used in context.
 Snappy Words -- Learners can easily see the meaning of each by simply placing the
