Pollution of the seas and oceans is a serious problem that directly affects the wildlife

of ocean habitats and, indirectly, human health. Oil spills, toxic waste, illegal dumping
and accumulation of plastics are just some of the many sources of pollution. In this
sense, environmental awareness and education programs play a vital role in combating
the deterioration of ocean environments.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE PROBLEM?

Lack of awareness and sensitivity to the consequences are the biggest problem, since animals
die every day in the ocean from ingesting contaminated water, some plastic or object or from
the destruction of their airways, because people cannot think of bouncing or driving waste in a
favorable way and even a little more feasible.
WHAT WOULD BE A POSSIBLE SOLUTION FOR IT?

• If people recycle and hire a waste management plan, the waste in the oceans will be
reduced and marine lives saved.

• If people organize cleanings and training days, beaches can be cleaned and animals that
have a condition can be helped..
DO YOU SEE THIS PROBLEM IN YOUR COMMUNITY? WHAT DO PEOPLE DO ABOUT IT?

• It is a common problem, since, for example, you have garbage bins in strategic locations and
people choose to dump the garbage next to or near the sewers, because of laziness and poor
education of storing garbage.

• People do not usually do anything, because they think it is not their problem, as everything is
thrown the ball and wins indifference.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THE FUTURE TO HELP SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

• I will participate in campaigns to prevent and raise awareness about this problem. I will
begin to recycle and reuse.
