INTRODUCTION:
• On January 1, 2007 Bulgaria became an EU member. Since the country's
accession to the EU, GDP has increased twice and the standard of living has
risen.

SURVEY:

 Purpose: To study the attitudes of the Bulgarians regarding the 12-year


membership of Bulgaria in the European Union.
 Method: A questionnaire, via electronic Google form.

 Implementation period: 11/11/2019 - 24/11/2019


Surveyed people :

Number of people surveyed: 218


Age range: from 16 to 81 years,
average age: 37.
Men: 63 (29 %)
Women: 155 (71%)

ANALYSIS AND
CONCLUSIONS :
The general attitudes of the respondents regarding Bulgaria's EU membership
is positive.
Bulgaria's EU membership has had a lasting impact on residents' mobility.
There is a stratification of the results in terms of the economic and social
spheres, which may be due to the age distribution.
The popularity of the European Erasmus + program for education, training,
youth and sport is significant because of the high proportion of students
surveyed.
The appreciation of the European values and culture is highly positive, due to
the fact that Bulgarians would like to follow the European model in the
development of the country.
The respondents claim that their standard of living has increased and the
environment is improving.
