• Online play – This enables you to play against your friends or against other people competitively. This would mainly
appeal to teenagers as they can socialise with there friends while there playing online against or with them. This
would appeal to gamers who like to test themselves online against friends.
• Media Consumptions- The media consumptions which you can do on Xbox are play CD’s, DVD’s, Listen to the radio
and watch Sky TV. This enables users to do other consumptions of media not just play games. This would appeal to
teenagers as they might like to listen to music while there playing games or even watch Sky TV instead of playing
games.
• Customization – This enables people to change the appearance of the way the Xbox looks, as you can buy
faceplates of a certain game and clip it to the front of your Xbox. This would appeal to the target audience as they
can make the Xbox there own and have the own unique faceplate .
• Wireless – There are several different wireless aspects for the Xbox; Controller, Steering Wheel and WIFI. With the
controller and steering wheel. This enables players to play the game from a further distance from the console as they
do not have any wires connecting to the console. WIFI allows players to play in any room in a house if they have a
router this will appeal to players as they don’t have to be close to the router, they could play in a quite room.
• Interactive/Kinect– This is an interactive add on which allows players to play interactively with no controller. This
would appeal to a younger audience as they would enjoy to be active and interact with games and most of the games
are for a more younger audience, however there are also sport and fitness games which would be appeal to a more
older audience as they could keep fit by doing activities from the game instead of going to the gym.

• The top five international selling games on Xbox 360 are; 1.Halo 3 (8 million copies), 2.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
2 (7.4 million), 3.Gears of War (5 million), 4.Gears of War 2 (5 million), 5.Grand Theft Auto IV (4.356 million). At
number one is Halo 3 .This would mainly appeal to teenagers as they would like competitive shooting games and
they are able to play online against people. At number two is call of duty modern warfare 2, this would also appeal
to teenagers as it is a competitive shooting game and they are able to play online against other people. At number 3
is gears of war which would also appeal to teenagers as it’s a competitive shooting game and they can role play as
characters. At number 4 is Gears of war 2 appeals to teenagers as it’s a competitive shooting game and role playing.
At number 5 is grand theft auto which would appeal to teenagers as it’s a role playing game in life situations and you
get to chose the outcome and also you can play this game online.

• The international sales figures for Xbox 360 Worldwide are: 44.6 million from September 2010.

• This marketing material is an advert to promote the accessories that you can
buy for your controller for example in this screenshot of the advert there is
a family playing Mario Kart with steering wheels attached to the controllers.
This appeals to the their audience as if they like driving games they could buy
this and then feel more interacted into the game as they are driving with a
steering wheel.

buy the new DS. This would appeal to people as there are more things to do
then just play games.

which is a interactive add on to the PlayStation 3. This allows players to
play interactively with motion censored controllers. This appeals to their audience
as you can now play sport and other genre of games interactively. sport games such
as boxing with controllers that censor now read the type movements and punching
you are doing.

• Five features of PlayStation portable (PSP):
• Portable – This is enable s players to carry about their PSP which allows them to play games when on holiday or
when out with the family. This would appeal to a younger audience from around 7-14 year olds, this appeals to
them as the can keep themselves occupied so they don’t get bored when out with the family.
• Multiplayer – This enables player s to connect to another PSP and play against your friends. This would appeal to
7-14 year olds as they could socialise with there friends as well as playing against them
• Memory card – Memory stick duo allows players to put their saved games onto the memory stick and you could
also back up your files to the computer. this would appeal to people who have a lot of games as the wont have to
keep buying more memory sticks they could just put theirs files onto the computer.
• Media consumptions – The PSP allows players to listen to music while playing games and also lets you put
pictures and videos on their so you can watch them instead of playing games, also you could buy DVD’s for your
PSP. This allows players to play and watch other media consumptions instead of just playing games.

The five international top selling games on PSP are; 1.Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (3.1 million), 2.Grand Theft Auto:
Liberty City Stories (2.7 million), 3.Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (2.59 million), 4.Daxter (2.3 million), 5.Monster Hunter
Freedom 2 (2.3 million). At number one is monster hunter which is an action game which would appeal to the audience
as there is a sequel. At number two is grand theft auto which would appeal to the audience as there are many sequels
and also it is a role playing/ shooting game where they get to make life decisions. At number three is final fantasy which
is an adventure and action game which would appeal to people as there sequels off this game. At number four is Daxter
which is an action game this would be appealing to the audience as they would like to fight through the game. At number
five is Monster Freedom 2 which would appeal to the audience as it is an action game.
