STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Youth Formation
Division (YFD)
Provides youth-serving units and organizations with
responsive, learner-centered, youth-oriented
policies, standards, guidelines, programs, and
projects to contribute to the holistic development of
learners who are values-driven, career-oriented,
culturally-rooted and socially responsible citizens.
GOAL
Youth Formation
Division (YFD)
Empowered Filipino children and youth who are
responsible, hardworking, enterprising,
persevering, value-driven and culturally – rooted
equipped with world class skills and imbued with
values such as maka-Diyos, maka-Tao, maka-
Bansa, at maka-Kalikasan.

THE CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM (CGP)

The Career Guidance Program (CGP) aims to enlighten


and assist the Filipino learners in making informed
decisions regarding their careers and develop awareness
in the importance of choosing a career that goes with
their interests and skills in relation to the available
resources and needs of the society.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF CGP

Assist the learners in choosing the best SHS track that suits their
strengths, talents, and interests;

Engage the learners in various career guidance activities that will


help them realize and stengthen their career preference;

Provide learners an overview of the possible


opportunities (curiculum exits) that they can pursue after
graduating from senior high schools; and

Guide the learners in applying decision-making skills to


career planning, course selection and career transitions
