Uttar Pradesh
• Population of more than 167 billion
• Bigger than Germany + France, Russia, Pakistan,
China, America, Brazil and Indonesia.
TAMILNADU

• Population of more than 62.2 million

• Bigger than Britain and Italy


ANDHRA PRADESH
• Population of more than 76.4 million
• Bigger than Germany and Vietnam.

Bihar
• Population of more than 82 million.
• Bigger than Mexico
Maharashtra
• Population of more than 92.1 million.
• Maharashtra has ten million more than
Germany.

West Bengal
• Population of more than 80 million.
• Bigger than the Philippines
If the big states means progress then
why India has not made progress like
America, Germany, France ,Hong Kong or England.
America, Hong Kong both were ruled by

England just like India.

• Uttarakhand has averaged 9.31% growth

• Jharkhand has averaged 8.45% growth


• Chhattisgarh has averaged 7.35% growth annually.
Why these states are divided?
• India will move towards the true definition of a
republic.

BENEFITS IN DIVIDING

STATES
• India can be developed faster because each and every
state government is responsible for the development of
the state.
•  The benefits of the government polices can be
implemented very easily.
• With smaller area of states, administration will definitely
be better and each area will be properly represented.
• Controlling power will be more powerful

• Politicians will have less area under them so they have


less work load therefore better governing.
MOST SUCCESSFUL STATES
HARYANA
• Carved out of Punjab in 1966.

ECONOMIC
• PER CAPITA INCOME: Rs 49,038 in 2008 (third highest in the
country)
• INDUSTRIES: One of the most industrialised states in India,
Haryana is home to Maruti, Hero Honda and other big
industries ranging from cars to IT.
Its agricultural output is also increased.

• LITERACY: 67.91 per cent
• Punjab government did not pay adequate attention to it.
• After the reorganisation, Haryana has become one of the
most industrialised states of India.
• The state's agricultural development has led to a higher per
capital income - the third highest in the country at Rs 49,038
in 2008
• Haryana has also become a hub of maximum foreign direct
investment .

Demand for separate States

• The first attempt was done by GJM to declare the


Darjeeling area as "Gorkhaland" with Capital Siliguri.
• For this, 21 young activists of Gorkha Janamukti
Morcha(GJM) started indefinite fasting and processions
in the district of Darjeeling.
• This movement of separation was followed by Uttar Pradesh
where voices raised for declaration of 3 different states
namely Poorvanchal, Harit Pradesh demanded by RLD and
Bundelkhand demanded by BMM.
• The demand for separate Vidarbh from Maharashtra has
been from long.
• There have been voices for the demand of Saurashtra as a
separate state in Gujarat.
FUTURE INDIA
• small states are the key of success for central
government
• Shall we get separated by breaking of many
states
• Why do you think this as division?
• This is not division but only splitting into
smaller states
• Central Government is the only hope for
development and success of any country
• Need the people who regulate there law and
order properly
