SIX SIGM
i. Theory: Six sigma is a data-driven approach to bring Quality to
near perfection, different from other approaches as it also
corrects problems before they arise. More specifically it is a
disciplined effort to examine the repetitive processes of
companies.

ii. Aplication guidelines: define, to size, analyze, control and

improve.

iii. Focus: problem focused.

LEAN THINKING
i. Theory: The Lean methodology has to guarantee that using the
minimum resources, the production is adjusted so that the
client receives the maximum value. Waste reduction is key and
this is the fundamental pillar on which this type of
management is based. The costs must be calculated when the
development of the product design begins, from the beginning.
ii. Aplication guidelines: Inventory, Overproduction, Transport,
Superfluous processes that do not contribute, Wait calculated
on time.
iii. Focus: flow focused.

THEORY OF CONSTRAINTS
i. Theory: It is one of the most widely recognized business
management philosophies worldwide. Its success continues to
boom more than thirty years later and has become one of the
most effective supply chain management paradigms.
ii. Aplication guidelines: Identify the system constraint, Exploit
restriction, Subordinate everything else to the constraint, Raise
the restriction and Repeat the process avoiding inertia.
iii. Focus: systems costraints .
