OVERVIEW AND CONTEXT

• Research Methodology is based on Buddha's Four Noble Truths. They are:

(1) Dukkha, the existence of problems and issues, or the problem of life (suffering) itself.
(2) Samudaya, the reasons or causes of the problems.
(3) Nirodha, the possibility to uncover and resolve the problems.
(4) Magga, the way leading to the understanding and resolution of problems.

• Keeping in view the vitality of research in our lives, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of
Management & Technology, in collaboration with SPSS, is organizing an FDP on “Research
Methodology and the use of SPSS” on 25 , 26 and 27 October, 2010.
ABOUT THE FDP
• FDP will help the participants to acquaint themselves with the dynamic trends of research
methodology which may shape their research work in the right direction.
THE OBJECTIVES

1. To equip the participants with relevant insights towards research methodology.


2. To discuss the methodology requirements for research and to stimulate and capture new
approaches.
3. To help researchers choose the right methodology for their research studies in various
disciplines.
4. To provide an opportunity for researchers to present and discuss the methodology
aspects of their current work in small groups led by experienced researchers.
5. To develop skills to apply SPSS in research processes

The programme will rely heavily on the participants' inquisitiveness and will consistently

challenge their cognitive reflex towards challenging ideas.

workshop environment which will include :

Dr. Mohammed Naved Khan

1. Dr. Mohammed Naved Khan is a PHD, MBA, B.Tech (Elect.).


2. He has a spectrum of domain interests like marketing research, industrial
engineering, materials management and operations.
3. He has publications in many referred national and international journals.
4. He has also conducted various research methodology workshops in India and
abroad.
5. He has also attended a number of National and International Conferences.
6. He is a recipient of "P.D. Agarwal-TCI Award of Doctoral Research in
Management." at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He is handling the
Department of Business Administration as a Reader.
7. Experienced faculty members from the different functional areas will conduct the
session along with him.
