    24th NYP-IPS Astronomy Retreat

    • Agro Beach Resort, Bintan, from 13 to 16 June 2017.


    • 97 participants from schools and members of public took part.
    • Good weather on 2 of the 3 nights. Participants enjoyed viewing the Milky Way
    with the naked eye before moonrise, and with an unblocked eastern view were
    also able to photograph the moon above the South China Sea.

    21st NYP-IPS Astronomy Competition
    • To be held on 9 March 2018 at Nanyang Polytechnic Smart Learning Hub.
    • Projected participation is approx. 150 from 12 schools.
    • Three categories to cater to wide range of levels: poster creation; large
    crossword; open-ended questions.
    • A sampling of some of the posters submitted is given here and online voting for
    the most popular poster
