    Problem:

    • A hospital intends to order 10,000 bottles of Dextrose


    infusion per year. It is known that the ordering cost
    Rp. 1000.000,- per order and transportation costs
    (carrying cost) 10% from the price per unit. The price
    per bottle Rp. 30.000, - Calculate :
    • the EOQ? How much Total Inventory Cost
    • If there are 1000 bottles of Safety stock, count the
    Reorder Point!
    • If the company can order 5.000 bottles per order, it
    will get 10% discount. Give suggestion to the
    company, is it better to take discount or not?
