PROJECT PART 3 “VERACRUZ

An interesting or traditional event in
Veracruz.
CARNIVAL”
During the 19th century, it was
celebrated as a “mask party” and
it was about costume dances in
the best halls of the city that the
participants used to parade
through the streets when they
addressed them, as well as
locals and curious people. ,
participated in the joy and bustle.
Since the beginning of the 20th
century, Carnivals have been
organized by a Committee made
up of citizen volunteers.
February 1, 1925: Appointment of
the First Steering Committee of
the Veracruz Carnival, and the HISTORY
first Queen was Miss Lucha
Raigadas. In 1945 the lighting
project for the floats was
approved for the first time. Being
Governor of the State Adolfo Ruiz
Cortines thus carrying out the
first night parade through the
main streets of the city.

 BURNING BAD MOOD
For nine days, parades full of
color are held that flood its streets
with a musical and festive
atmosphere. The first carnival
event is the burning of "Bad
Humor" in which a sculpture that
alludes to the negative aspects of
country or the state of Veracruz
(sadness, violence), and on the
ninth day the burial of Juan
Carnaval takes place.

the entire festival as well as
salsa and samba, the former
being the most popular in the
place. Traditional parades,
floats, staffs, batucadas, dance
and dance groups participate
in the parades of joy.
